Brooklyn band Woods is out with Bend Beyond – their second indie/folk rock album in 2012 on lead singer Jeremy Earl’s own label of DIY indie rock, Woodsist. Woods is known as a consistent band, and Bend Beyond is no exception, even in light of major line-up changes such as the addition of drummer Aaron Neveu (Mmoss) and multi-instrumentalist Mark Jarvis Taveniere’s focus solely on guitar. Additionally their recording method changed as well, taking time to work through concepts and arrangements and let their live dynamic drive the songs’ evolution instead of writing and immediately committing to tape.
