Philadelphia based trio Hoots and Hellmouth put a new spin on traditional Americana music blending folk, country, soul, gospel and rock. Consisting of Sean Hoots, Andrew ‘Hellmouth’ Gray and Robert Berliner with Sean and Andrew Gray, their second full-length effort The Holy Open Secret ranges both stylistically and thematically while maintaining cohesion amongst the soulful three-part harmonies, acoustic guitars, mandolin, upright bass and foot stomps. The Holy Open Secret is fresh and vibrant yet somehow strangely familiar, living up to old time tent revivals in spirit.
