Pine Hill Haints – To Win or to Lose

  • August 17, 2009

Alabama’s Pine Hill Haints are a junkyard rockabilly/punk group that describes their unique southern roots music as “Alabama Ghost Music” referring to traditional music that is no longer popular. The Haints are comprised of Jamie Barrier (guitar, vocals), his wife Kat (washboard, mandolin), Matt Bakula (washtub bass), Mike Posey (accordion) and Ben Rhyne (snare drum). To Win or to Lose is filled with quick tempo songs that feature hard luck stories, desperation and loneliness while remaining upbeat with the fiddling, sawing, banjo-plucking and washboards.
