The Monsters of Folk is an indie folk supergroup formed around the collaboration between Conor Oberst and Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes), M. Ward, and Jim James (My Morning Jacket). All four alternate playing the instruments on the album, from guitar to vocals while bringing their own strengths to the music making process. This self-titled debut is a sun-soaked, organic and expansive album with stellar instrumentation, stirring harmonies and effortless melodies culminating into everything one would expect from the combination these four musicians. Due out September 22.
