Andrew Bryant – Galilee

  • November 9, 2009

I’m a bit late in coming to Andrew Bryant’s Galilee and it’s a real jewel of an album. On his fifth indie folk rock album, Bryant expands upon his hauntingly intimate and tender personal narratives with more sophisticated songwriting and lyrics while maintaining his grounding over a series of songs that conjure rural Mississippi living and growing older. Galilee is a collection of slow burning songs and southern gothic ballads featuring a harmonious blend of traditional folk, blues and rock that perfectly suits Bryant’s rich, deep and emotive vocals. – Written by JFelton
