Baton Rouge, LA band The Red Stick Ramblers embody and transcend their zydeco, country, bluegrass and swing influences to hone their own unique hybrid sound on their most visceral, personal album to date. My Suitcase Is Always Packed takes listeners on a road trip of honky tonks, Cajun dances and the rural south. The 11 tracks (in both English and Cajun French) are boldly arranged and lyrically evocative featuring several vintage Cajun numbers that pay homage and display mastery of classic Louisiana music.
