JAY FARRAR & BENJAMIN GIBBARD | ONE FAST MOVE OR I’M GONE: MUSIC FROM KEROUAC’S BIG SUR

ATLANTIC

Son Volt frontman Jay Farrar and Death Cab for Cutie’s Benjamin Gibbard join forces on One Fast Move Or I’m Gone, songs inspired by Jack Kerouac’s 1962 novel Big Sur. Farrar and Gibbard initially planned to record a few songs for a Kerouac documentary about the author’s time spent at Big Sur, but it quickly developed into a full-length album. One Fast Move is full of sincere, honest country-tinged songs that complement the solemn spirit of Big Sur. It’s a beautiful album that showcases their talents and charms while paying tribute to a great American writer. – Written by DBosket
