Tidings is the debut full-length from London quartet Wolf People and is based upon recordings by frontman Jack Sharp made between ‘05 and ‘07 before the formation of the current line-up. Tidings features layers of tape noise, feedback, field recordings, studio outtakes and even the voices of dead relatives paired with guitars, distorted harmonica and flutes, and acid rock that borrows elements from the blues and English folk songs. Wolf People – the first UK band signed to Jagjaguwar – is a great match for the label and a band with seemingly unlimited innovative potential. – Written by JFelton
