Washingtons by South China is the product of the marriage of Jeremy and Jerusha Robinson. Another example of the great music coming out of Portland, Maine, this duo combines their backgrounds in classical music and experimental rock to produce sparse, dream-like songs that are as interesting to listen to as they are beautiful. Using guitars, cellos, violins, and clarinet, South China’s songs have a haunting, cinematic quality that carefully reveals themselves to the listener.
