Daniel Knox | Evryman for Himself

DANIEL KNOX | EVRYMAN FOR HIMSELF

SELF-RELEASED

If you haven’t heard Chicago based pianist Daniel Knox’s gothic cabaret music, check out his latest release Evryman for Himself. The mood of the record is melancholic with its minor chord arrangements, piano melodies and Knox’s rich baritone. Alongside of Knox’s distinct vocals are a host of other accompaniments which include drums, bass, saw, trombone, kazoo – all adding flourishes to his macabre songs. The songwriting comes from a skewed and often darkly humorous bent, giving songs on Evryman for Himself a unique perspective. – Written by JFelton
