High Places – High Places vs. Mankind

  • March 25, 2010

High Places take on mankind with the follow-up to their successful self-titled 2008 debut. Originally from Brooklyn, now living in LA, Mary Pearson and Rob Barber make dreamy, lo-fi electro pop that is accessible to both serious electro fans and casual listeners who are just dipping their toes in the water. Drum loops, layers of found sounds, guitar, and bass lay the foundation for spacey tracks that are very atmospheric. This, combined with Pearson’s cool vocals makes High Places vs. Mankind an enjoyable indie dance/disco album. – Written by DBosket
