Huck Notari – Very Long Dream

  • March 30, 2010

Very Long Dream is the second release from folk singer Huck Notari. Now living in Portland, Notari has an interesting history that suits the rambling country-folk songs he sings. He is originally from New Hampshire, but moved to the West coast where he performed with a vaudeville troupe before spending time in New Orleans playing in a ragtime band and working as a mime (say what what?). Very Long Dream is full of simple, honest songs that sound timeless. It’s hard ignore the clear influence artists like Bob Dylan have had on Notari’s music, but Very Long Dream does not imitate country and folk musicians that have gone before him – it honors them. – Written by DBosket
