Aaron Espe – Songs from a Small Town

  • May 17, 2010

Aaron Espe is an indie-folk-pop artist I stumbled upon on CD Baby that came highly recommended by the CD Baby president and customers. Songs from a Small Town, Espe’s third release, is a heartfelt album with intense lyrics that is a bit melancholy, sometimes hopeful, but always honest without coming across jaded. Espe’s smooth vocals blend nicely with lovely finger-picked guitar and piano on stories of small town life. Songs from a Small Town is a fresh listening experience and showcases the talents of a skilled up-and-coming singer/songwriter. You would be hard-pressed to find someone who isn’t tapping their toes to Espe’s effortlessly lovable, warm folk melodies. – Written by JFelton
