Made-up of Australians Kym Warner (mandolin) and Carol Young (vocals, bass) and Englishman Eamon McLoughlin (fiddle), Austin, TX based contemporary bluegrass trio The Greencards is aptly named. Fascination is a bluegrass album at its core but folds in elements of traditional folk, country, Americana and world music with catchy melodies and irregular rhythms that range from the gentle to foot-stomping ditties. The Greencards’ musical ideas are playful and draw from numerous inspirations, always yielding a superior level of song craft.
