The Burning Hell’s Baby starts where 2008’s Happy Birthday left off featuring the band’s brand of quirky folk-pop and a new batch of songs about life and death. Recorded live, Baby is energetic and entertaining featuring ukulele, synth, glockenspiel, trumpet, accordion and singer/songwriter Mathias Kom’s low voice and deadpan delivery. Kom’s voice and tongue-in-check lyrics are still at the forefront among new members and special guests in smart, kitschy songs filled with animals, conferences, suicides, wombs and tombs.
