Amor de Dias – Street of the Love of Days

MERGE

Amor de Días (“love for days”) is Alasdair MacLean (The Clientele) and Lupe Núñez-Fernández (Pipas), and their debut record Street of the Love of Days is pure gold. The project was labor intensive with MacLean and Núñez-Fernández recording bilingual vocals and acoustic Spanish guitars during their free time on weekends and evenings and friends contributing additional instrumentation and harmonies over the course of three years. With elements of indie pop, bossa nova, jazz and psychedelic folk patched together in intricate arrangements, the fifteen orchestral rockers and ballads are passionate and dreamy. Standout tracks include the title track, “House of Flint” and “Dream (Dead Hands).” – Written by JFelton
