New York and Providence, RI based band The Ampersands have been around for a few years (most notably for their 2008 debut, And) and have recently made a splash with their full length, This is Your Adventure Too. The core duo is comprised of talented multi-instrumentalists Aaron McQuade and Jim Pace who are joined this time around by Corrine Gonzales (drums), co-producer and mixer/masterer Jamie Hill (Jens Lekman, Nada Surf), and producer Bryce Goggin (Pavement, Apples in Stereo, Phish). The twelve tracks of indie pop found here are simply charming and amusing, with smart lyrics, catchy hooks, and fun filled power pop.
