Banditos – Banditos

  • May 1, 2015

Gritty, whiskey soaked Nashville-based/Birmingham bred southern rock band Banditos release their full-length self-titled debut via Bloodshot records on May 12th. Banditos are Corey Parsons (vocals), Steve Pierce (banjo), Randy Wade (drums), Jeffrey Salter (guitar), Mary Beth Richardson (vocals) and Danny Vines (bass). The self-titled release was recorded with producer Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes, Hurray for the Riff Raff) and results in 12 high-energy songs filled with twangy guitars licks, pick-and-roll banjo, killer bass hooks, and driving drums alongside the twin lead vocals of Parsons and Richardson. Album highlights include: the upbeat “Waitin’”, the rowdy “Cry Baby Cry”, the drinker’s ode “Still Sober (After All These Beers)”, and the soulful lead tracks “No Good” and “Old Ways.” Banditos is a little bit bluegrass, a little bit blues, country, and good old fashion rock n’ roll. Banditos is a great album to lead off the summer! – Written by JFelton
