The Besnard Lakes – Until In Excess, Imperceptible UFO

  • February 27, 2013

Montreal’s The Besnard Lakes are set to release their fourth album on April 2 via Jagjaguwar – Until In Excess, Imperceptible UFO – the follow-up to 2010’s stellar The Besnard Lakes Are the Roaring Night. This time The Besnard Lakes enlisted a number of collaborators to work on the record, notably Moonface’s Spencer Krug and Mike Bigelow and The Barr Brothers’ Sarah Page, lending an expansive quality to the album. Thematically, the collection of eight tracks celebrate the strength of human spirit through dreamy soundscapes and timeless moments. Check out the first single, “People Of The Sticks”, which is characteristic of The Besnard Lakes’ sound with Goreas’ hazy vocals, loose guitar strums, unfurling rhythms and swelling synths. – Written by JFelton
