Early aught indie-darling Chan Marshall (a.k.a. Cat Power) has emerged from some tough personal struggles and is releasing her triumphant ninth studio album, Sun. Following 2008’s Jukebox set of covers, and 2006’s Memphis soul and Delta blues laden originals The Greatest, Cat Power’s eleven tracks showcase a more expansive sound including flourishes of electronica.
