Chatham County Line – Autumn

  • December 15, 2016

North Carolina’s Chatham County Line often gets lumped in with bluegrass acts, but they’re more of a traditionally based American music string band centered around the songwriting of singer/guitarist Dave Wilson, who also takes on the role of producer on their eighth album, Autumn. With their latest, Chatham County Line has released another polished gem that is both warm and earthy with gentle guitars, mandolin, banjo and piano alongside rich vocals that perfectly capture the season. Standouts include: the album opener “You Are My Light”; the charming “Rock in the River”; the up-tempo “If I Had My Way”; the maritime themed “Siren Song”; and the haunting ballad “Moving Pictures of My Mind.” Autumn got a lot of play this fall and is another solid release in Chatham County Line’s discography. – Written by JFelton
