Singer/songwriter and artist Dan Zimmerman is a Methodist preacher’s son who attended art school in the ‘60s. He became a van–traveling nomad, was married by a Swami, and ended–up in the Northwest working at a tree-packing plant performing locally for friends and co-workers. Life experience, spiritual maturity and the way of the world are at the heart of both Zimmerman’s art and music. Zimmerman’s earthy, soulful sound comfortably fits alongside Nick Cave, Tindersticks, Leonard Cohen, and Johnny Cash. The new album Cosmic Patriot is out on April 21.
