Drew Holcomb and the Neighbors – Souvenir

  • April 24, 2017

Drew Holcomb has been putting out top-notch music since 2003 both with and without his band, The Neighbors. Souvenir comes on the heels of 2016’s Live at The Ryman and as the follow-up to 2015’s excellent studio release, Medicine. Holcomb is a well-travelled troubadour who’s pulse is on the Heartland and who’s soul of America is much like John Mellencamp’s Uh-huh, and Souvenir is no different. Standout tracks include: the stellar open track “The Morning Song”; the upbeat ditty “Mama’s Sunshine, Daddy’s Rain”; the worldly lament “Wild World”; the catchy rocker “Fight for Love”; and the heartfelt “New Year.” Souvenir is another gem from Holcomb and The Neighbors, and if you are unfamiliar with them, this would be a great starting point for hearing an incredible band. – Written by JFelton
