Dylan LeBlanc – Cast The Same Old Shadow

  • September 11, 2012

Shreveport, Louisiana singer/songwriter Dylan LeBlanc follows-up 2010’s Paupers Field with the lovely and haunting Cast The Same Old Shadow. Heartbreak and pain permeate the album, casting a dark cloud of gloom that’s hard to shake. The heavy mood is intentional, with LeBlanc walking a fine line between being subsumed by the dark and reveling in its intense beauty. LeBlanc’s voice is an acquired taste and here mines depths of emotional heft with different tones, volumes, and delivery. This second generation Muscle Shoals musician gives it his all with Cast The Same Old Shadow and for those who can bear the heft, there is much reward. – Written by SMarx
