Brooklyn, NY based multi-instrumentalist Edmund II (a.k.a. Edmund Pellino) is out with his self-released solo debut, Floating Monk. Pellino comes from a Midwest background steeped in rock; he founded the cello-rock outfit Utah! and has played with a variety of impressive indie bands like the Bowerbirds, Megafaun, Ted Leo and Menomena. Here Pellino is joined by Jeff Gensterblum (drums) and Alex Cox (bass, percussion), and together they create a lush and finely textured set of atmospheric pop.
