Father John Misty (the mystical faux-bohemian alter ego of singer-songwriter Josh Tillman) follows 2012’s Fear Fun with I Love You, Honeybear – an autobiographical set about love, Tillman’s new marriage, and the complexities of relationships. The concept album, which runs for eleven tracks, is again on Sub Pop, and certain formats/editions come with limited release cassettes, poster, instructional pamphlet,and other swag. Again Father John Misty merges the ridiculous with sublime all wrapped in Laurel Canyon rock, pop, folk, and country.
