Brooklyn continues to turn out great new bands, and Fort Lean is the latest. The indie rockers with punk leanings self-released their eponymously titled four song debut EP this past spring. Since then the quintet has been garnering tons of local press, selling out shows, and even picking up a booking agent. With a sound frequently compared to Okkervil River, these guys hold their own as they impress listeners with fuzzy guitars, big vocals, and drums soaked in reverb on “Beach Holiday”, “Dreams (Never Come True)”, “High Definition”, and “Perfect.” A couple of days ago on their Facebook page they advertised free downloads of the EP on their bandcamp site, so head over and take a listen. – Written by JFelton
