Greenland Is Melting – Where Were We

  • October 27, 2011

Gainsville, Florida holds an interesting role in the history of southern American hardcore punk music, and from the latest resurgence/incarnation comes Greenland is Melting. The trio’s new release, Where Were We continues where their last album left off – reveling in their own unique blend of backporch country folk, bluegrass and punk. Recorded earlier this year between tours, the album’s 13 tracks are fast and fun, featuring traditional folk instruments (guitar, banjo, harmonica, percussion, fiddle) and non-traditional yet infectious punk energy and treatment. Standout tracks include “The Dead Are Watching” and “No More Sorry Songs.” – Written by JFelton
