Nebraska born singer/songwriter Josh Rouse is out with his tenth studio album, The Happiness Waltz. The longtime musician moved to Valencia, Spain in 2005, and this latest collection of 70’s AM radio sounding tracks reflect on his life as a husband and father of two young children. While the ruminations are on his new life, The Happiness Waltz is a return in a couple respects, including working again with producer Brad Jones as well as reintroducing some of the strands of folk from his early career. While the entire album is a solid, easy-going listen, standouts tracks are the opener “Julie (Come Out of the Rain)”, “Simple Pleasure”, “The Ocean”, and the title track. – Written by SMarx
