The Beloved Country is the newest release from Eastern Washington singer/songwriter Kevin Brown, following up 2010’s The County Primaries. Brown came to this particular calling later in life and brings a mature perspective to the country/roots scene enhanced by his broader career as a bluegrass festival producer and radio DJ. Inspired by the nature surrounding him, Brown examines the themes of love, family and place through his own warm, easy vocals and use of traditional strings like banjo, fiddle and mandolin as well as electric guitar, pedal steel, bass and drums.
