San Francisco band Mist Giant has rereleased their three song debut EP, Human Tree. Initially the EP was self-released in January 2011 and following a few sets of undiscovered band showcases at SXSW 2011 in Austin, the trio got picked-up by the SoCal indie label Velvet Blue Music. Their brand of electronic indie rock is fairly minimalist, with guitars, synths, and low-key sonic droning. The EP opens with the seven minute ambient “What With”, followed by “Empty Archipeg” and closer “Some Ophelia”, which is available as a free download on their bandcamp page. – Written by SMarx
