Old Podrida is the evolving project of David Wingo and the band released their third album (their first studio effort), Ghosts Go Blind. Wingo, along with Colin Swietek (guitars), Matt Clark (bass), and David Hobizal (drums), create beautiful cinematic soundscapes reminiscent of Wingo’s recent indie soundtrack work for movies Take Shelter (2011 Cannes Grand Prix winner), MUD (Matthew McConaughey and Reese Witherspoon’s upcoming vehicle), and Prince Avalanche (featuring Paul Rudd and Emile Hirsch). Thematically the collection touches on universal experiences like love, commitment, everyday life, desperation, and acceptance.
