Pure X (formerly Pure Ecstasy) take refuge in the sounds of the 90’s on their debut release of atmospheric pop, Pleasure. The Austin, TX based trio recorded the ten hazy, effects filled tracks live without the polished production of overdubbing, leaving the listener with more of an experience and mood rather than distinct songs. Most of the numbers are instrumental, and those singles with words are run through reverb, resulting in spiraling and hypnotizing melodies.
