Asheville NC band River Whyless is a quartet that formed while studying at Appalachian State University. The band is comprised of Ryan O’Keefe (guitar, bells, vocals), Halli Anderson (bells, violin, vocals), Alex McWalters (drums), and Matt Rossino (bass, banjo, ukulele, vocals), and their self-released debut A Stone, A Leaf, An Unfound Door is a lovely gem of a folk album. The ten tracks showcase accomplished songwriting, tight compositions, and hauntingly beautiful harmonies.
