  • April 15, 2013

Deland, FL indie-folk rockers Roadkill Ghost Choir are out with the EP of Americana, Quiet Light. The sextext which is led by Andrew Shepard (vocals, guitar), turn out an impressive five tracks that are based in Americana with elements of bluegrass, folk, southern rock, and electronica mixed in. From the haunting, organ tinged opener “Beggar’s Guild” and the long, soaring “Drifter” to the southern gothic mid-point of “Devout” and Radiohead influenced “Tarot Youth” to the acoustic closer “Bird In My Window”, Roadkill Ghost Choir showcases a mastery of soundscapes and moods, artistically crafted and polished for a sensational debut effort. – Written by SMarx
