Rose Windows – The Sun Dogs

  • October 18, 2013

Seattle based septet Rose Windows released their debut on Sub Pop – The Sun Dogs – a bluesy psych-rock tinged album influenced by classic rock groups from The Doors to The Band and Black Sabbath. Titled after the occasional bright spots that sit beside the sun on the horizon, the nine track album touches on themes of perception and reality. With songwriter Chris Cheveyo at the helm along with talented vocalist Rabia Shaheen Qazi, Rose Windows turn out a melodic, guitar driven album of rock and country folk. The Sun Dogs is a beautifully crafted album; standouts include “Walkin’ with a Woman”, “Wartime Lovers”, and “This Shroud.” – Written by SMarx
