Sandro Perri – Impossible Spaces

  • November 14, 2011

Experimental electronic multi-instrumentalist Sandro Perri – whose past projects include the ambient techno of Polmo Polpo and the electronic freak-folk collective Glissandro 70 – is out with his latest venture, Impossible Spaces. Thematically, the Toronto based musician goes from Tiny Mirrors (2007) to Impossible Spaces, a concept voiced by Perri’s friend who passed away before the production of the record. Whether the impossible space is death, an unearthed corner of an instrumental jazz riff, a line or loop that ends in dissonance, or even a stream of consciousness style lyric with no narrative action, Perri’s songs are a rich testing ground for electronic, synth driven ideas. – Written by SMarx
