Scott Orr – Where I Lived And What I Lived For

  • November 15, 2011

Canada is fertile ground for producing talented indie folk acts, and Ontario based singer/songwriter Scott Orr is no exception. His latest acoustic full-length, Where I Lived, And What I Lived For, is a ten song collection of sparse musings on life and loneliness. With light piano, percussion and an occasional harmonica as background, Orr’s heartfelt vocals take center stage, laying bare his emotions and accepting his vulnerabilities. The sense of empty space is echoed in the recording, which took place in an abandoned home. Standout singles include “In The Belly of the Whale” and “Between the Mountains and the Sea.” – Written by JFelton
