Secret Life of Sofia – Empty Sleeves

  • March 9, 2009

It astounds me that more people aren’t into Brooklyn indie rockers Secret Life of Sofia. They have been one of my favorite unsigned bands for a few years now. Their sound is built around clever melodies, intricate arrangements and beautiful harmonies. Empty Sleeves continues with the band’s thoughtful exploration of music; they have the ability to switch between intensely energetic songs to the atmospheric and meditative. This record sounds a bit more lo-fi than 2008’s full-length Seven Summits, yet the songs maintain a multifaceted and rich sound. Download it for free from the bands website.
