The Brooklyn-based quartet Suckers echo indie pop bands of the past like the Talking Heads and Television and contemporaries like Yeasayer’s, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah and TV On The Radio. Their self-titled debut EP features clean reverb-drenched guitars, off-kilter drumbeats, subtle horns, keyboards, sing-a-long group harmonies, whistling and other playful noises. The Suckers’ eclectic upbeat sound immediately brings a smile to my face – keep an eye out for their full-length.
