Southwest band Golden Boots blends psychedelic rock, folk, and country into a sound uniquely their own. The Winter of Our Discotheque marries fractured psychedelia with catchy melodies and American themes featuring fuzzy guitars, synthesizers, keyboards, bass and hazy experimentation. This album may not be everyone’s cup–of–tea, the flow is a bit disjointed from track to track, however Golden Boots off-kilter charm is best appreciated by focusing on each song individually.
