HA HA TONKA | DEATH OF A DECADE
Straight from the heartland is Springfield, MO based band Ha Ha Tonka with their third indie-rock/roots album, Death of a Decade. These eleven Ozark-inspired tracks are filled with sharp lyrics and polished storytelling, and plain out well crafted beautiful songs. Employing both acoustic and electric instrumentation, Ha Ha Tonka is an increasingly tight band, with coalescing four-part harmonies and enchanting melodies. Standout tracks include opener “Usual Suspects”, “Dead Man’s Hand”, and “Hide it Well.” – Written by JFelton

HA HA TONKA | NOVEL SOUNDS
Springfield, MO indie roots rock band Ha Ha Tonka released an impressive rock record that combines skillfully-crafted songs and harmonies that span from gospel folk to Southern rock. Their sophomore release is loosely inspired by Harold Bell Wright’s 1907 novel The Shepherd of the Hills about an old man who leaves the city for a remote rural life. Novel Sounds recalls the bygone days of the South recounting racial tensions, tent-revivals, loss, reconciliation, and morality. Due out on Bloodshot on June 16th.
