Jess Ribeiro and the Bone Collectors are an alt. country/indie folk group from Australia whose songs are rich, enchanting and playful. Their name was inspired by a myth about a spirit who wandered the desert collecting bones and singing them back to life – a fitting metaphor for music centered around lyrical storytelling and epic themes of struggle, love, death and life. On Pilgrimage Ribeiro’s captivating vocals (reminiscent of a rustic Mazzy Star) set the mood and tone while the Bone Collectors compliment with thoughtful arrangements and energy.
