KYLE SWARTZWELDER | THE SONGS OF NEIL YOUNG

SELF-RELEASED

Delaware singer/songwriter Kyle Swartzwelder continues his exploration of classic Americana covers on the EP, The Songs of Neil Young. The four song EP contains four of Swartzwelder’s favorite early-mid career Neil Young tunes “Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere,” “Out on the Weekend,” “Powderfinger,” and the classic “Cortez the Killer.” Backed by a full band featuring Will Donahue (drums, Vilebred), Ryan Snyder (bass, Magnifus), and Nate Gonzalez (multi-instrumentalist, Papertrees) on most of the tracks, Swartzwelder pays tribute to and represents well the beautiful country folk sounds of one the most influential guitarists and musicians of this era. – Written by JFelton

KYLE SWARTZWELDER | OUR HOME IN YONDER FIELD

SELF-RELEASED

While spending most of 09 touring throughout the East Coast in support of his acclaimed self-titled 08 release, Delaware singer/songwriter Kyle Swartzwelder returns with Our Home in Yonder Field. This 4-song EP – the first in a series of three EP’s leading up to his debut full-length – consists of two original songs, a song written by a friend (J. Garner), and a song written by one of Kyle’s main influences – in this case, a cover of Bruce Springsteen’s “Thunder Road”. If you have never heard of Kyle Swartzwelder, I urge you to seek out his smooth country-folk songs and spirited live performances. – Written by JFelton
