MARISSA NADLER | MARISSA NADLER
Boston painter turned singer/songwriter Marissa Nadler is proving with her fifth, self-titled album that her unique voice possesses a confidence and magnetism that transcends the freak folk movement. Supported by fans through a Kickstarter campaign to fund her record, Nadler teamed up again with producer Brian McTeer (Woven Hand) and musician Carter Tanton (Tulsa), recording a strong set of haunting psych/neo folk songs about former lovers and severed connections. Standout tracks include “The Sun Always Reminds Me of You”, “Mr. John Lee Revisited”, “Daisy, Where Did You Go?”, and “Wedding.” – Written by JFelton

MARISSA NADLER | LITTLE HELLS
KEMADO RECORDS
Boston songstress Marissa Nadler releases Little Hells on 3.2.09, featuring beautiful atmospheric vocals and thoughtful songwriting. This is the first album in which Nadler records with a full-band. While the arrangements on Little Hells vary from involved and heavily layered to stripped-down acoustic gems, Nadler’s voice always remains the most captivating element on her records.
