RICHARD SWIFT | WALT WOLFMAN
Despite a potentially career ending finger fracture, Richard Swift triumphs on his latest EP, Walt Wolfman. While rehabbing the broken bone, the singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist dedicated himself to a producer role, working with the acts like The Mynabirds and Damian Jurado. Now he’s back in front of the microphone (and behind the drums), showcasing his characteristically off-kilter sense of humor and edgy falsetto on the seven tracks of r&b. Check out his mini-album on Secretly Canadian on October 18th, and catch him on tour with The Shins. – Written by JFelton

RICHARD SWIFT | THE ATLANTIC OCEAN
The Atlantic Ocean is the fourth release from singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Richard Swift who is revered for his lo-fi pop experimentation. Swift’s current effort finds him commingling doo-wop with ’60s pop influences. Expect cheery synthesizers and touches of Motown soul, making The Atlantic Ocean the most danceable in Swift’s catalog. Swift continues to defy musical categorization while showcasing his sardonic, playful style with cameos from Ryan Adams, Mark Ronson, Sean Lennon and Pat Sansone (Wilco).
