STEPHEN KELLOGG AND THE SIXERS | GIFT HORSE
Stephen Kellogg and The Sixers (“sk6ers” for short) have been together eight years, each of which has seen this hard-working band travel across the country playing over 250 gigs annually. Gift Horse, the third album from this Northampton, Massachusetts based four-piece, is a great set of catchy songs that balance serious narratives about family, love, and death with energy and heart. Long poised by critics as the next best thing, Kellogg and the guys keep doing what they do best: classic rock with touches of Americana. Standouts include “Songs for Lovers”, “Long Days, Fast Years” and “1993.” – Written by SMarx

STEPHEN KELLOGG AND THE SIXERS | THE BEAR
Massachusetts natives Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers new release The Bear is the band’s rawest and most definitive album to date. Kellogg has a blue-collar ethic much like Springsteen or Mellencamp and crafts narrative songs about maintaining focus in uncertain times, troubled relationships and hard luck stories. What results is a polished record produced by Tom Schick (Norah Jones, Ryan Adams, Rufus Wainright) and Sam Kassirer (Josh Ritter).
