THE WILDERNESS OF MANITOBA | WHEN YOU LEFT THE FIRE
The Wilderness of Manitoba’s debut full-length album When You Left the Fire is the much anticipated follow-up to last year’s Hymns of Love & Spirits EP. The core duo of Will Whitham and Scott Bouwmeester is joined by Sean Lancaric, Stefan Banjevic and Melissa Dalton, allowing for a much richer and fuller sound which accommodates a wide range of instruments and new layers to The Wilderness of Manitoba sound. Recorded in their basement studio, When You Left the Fire features the same acoustic, harmony soaked melodies that charmed us on Hymns, but tracks like “Hermit” weave together a more lush and polished soundscape. – Written by JFelton

THE WILDERNESS OF MANITOBA | HYMNS OF LOVE AND SPIRITS
Toronto five-piece The Wilderness of Manitoba’s debut EP Hymns of Love and Spirits is a lo-fi indie folk album that features gorgeous four piece harmonies and gently plucked banjo. Standout tracks include “Crow’s Feet,” a song about growing old and reflecting upon love, and “Evening,” a song written in the ‘60s by Wendy Blackburn, the mother of lead singer of Will Whitwham. Hymns of Love and Spirits is a stunning lo-fi gem that is a thoughtful, heart heavy and superb starting point for a group of talented young musicians. – Written by JFelton
