Timber Timbre – Hot Dreams

  • June 8, 2014

Canadian blues folk trio Timber Timbre are out with their fantastic fifth album, Hot Dreams, which follows-up Creep On Creepin’ On. This time around singer/songwriter Taylor Kirk and band ease-up on the darkness – it’s still omni-present but not ominous – and turn out a heady collection of lush cinematic tunes. Adding to the heady ambience is a chamber of synths and old school keyboards, courtesy of Calgary’s National Music Centre. Standouts include “This Low Commotion”, “Bring Me Simple Men” with Simone Schmidt (Fiver, The Highest Order) contributing lyrics and record production, and “Resurrection Drive Part II.” – Written by SMarx
