Tu Fawning is Joe Haege and Corrina Repp, two longtime Portland, OR music pros and their second full-length A Monument demonstrates their unique blend of dirty blues which stems from their two different musical styles. Both are multi-instrumentalists — Haege bringing a strong affinity for experimentalism (like his work with the indie band 31Knots) and Repp’s haunting, crafted vocals were honed as a folk singer. The combination fuels this collection of distorted jazzy blues, rounded out by guitar, bass, keyboard, and various filters and effects.
